COMMITMENT TO HEALTH AND SAFETY
We are committed to providing a healthy and safe workplace for all our employees by ensuring an effective HSE program which maintains our COR certification year after year.
Ventana values the safety of all employees and trade partners on our job sites. We show this in the workplace through proactive programming and effective supervision and support at all of our jobs. Our commitment to safe construction practices reflects our values as a contractor and our genuine concern for the well-being of all individuals involved in our projects. Working collaboratively with our trade partners is crucial to continuously improve health and safety, and this is a fundamental principle of our program.
We implement the following principles throughout our HSE program:
People-first vs. compliance-first philosophy
Prevention programs to mitigate issues before they occur
Education & consultative approach to HSE implementation
Professional association involvement to ensure modern, best practices
Collaborative work environment with our trade partners to share in the success of our HSE program
We take the successful implementation of our HSE program seriously, and employ a full-time Director of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality, as well as a full-time HSE Coordinator to oversee Ventana’s HSE program. There are many full-time site-level HSE Coordinators who work with our safety-minded Project Superintendents and supervisors to coordinate safety at each of our job sites. Our on-site team works hard to ensure that all safety protocols are in place before starting work on a project and we continue to prioritize safety throughout the execution of every project.
Ventana provides a safe and healthy environment for every employee, worker and visitor on site. For us to deliver this, we continually review and update our HSE program and train our employees as part of our continuous education commitment. At Ventana, we prioritize our people, and their safety is an important part of that.
