FEATUREDPROJECTS
Midblock
The Midblock project consists of the redevelopment of an 8,000 sq. ft., two-storey commercial building within a tight urban site.
The scope includes demolishing the existing building, excavation, foundations and services and construction of a new steel-framed and concrete block building with ground-floor retail and restaurant spaces and second-floor commercial offices and onsite parking.
Located along a busy commercial corridor, the project requires careful planning and execution of site access, deliveries, and public interface to maintain safety and minimize disruption to adjacent businesses and pedestrian traffic.
Expo Line Elevator Replacement - Phase 1 & 2
The TransLink Elevator Upgrade is a targeted replacement of elevator in (22) elevators, in 15 active skytrain stations, across 5 municipalities on the Expo Line. This work includes all associated and required infrastructure updates (architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical) for life safety and code compliance.
Work in the active stations requires constant careful planning with all stakeholders to ensure that all stations remain operational, that public and worker safety are paramount, and that work is completed as efficiently as possible to provide users with the least amount of disruption possible.
UBC Properties Trust
This project involved a 12,000 sq. ft. high-end interior renovation within an existing multi-level building at the University of British Columbia (UBC). The scope included significant demolition and full interior fit-out, including new ceilings, flooring, millwork, demountable partitions, doors, and associated mechanical and electrical upgrades.
A key feature of the project was the introduction of a new interconnecting staircase between Levels 2 and 3, which required structural modifications, including removal of a portion of the existing level 3 floor slab.
The project was delivered within an active building environment, requiring detailed planning and careful coordination with all stakeholders to minimize disruption to ongoing operations and ensure continuous life safety requirements outside of the construction areas.
Delta Track Fieldhouse
The North Delta Track Fieldhouse is a two-storey, 3,200-square-foot, accessible facility built utilizing repurposed shipping containers as its primary structure, along with wood and steel structural framing.
The project features barrier free access with a vertical lift, automated doors, universal change rooms, public washrooms, a strength and conditioning space, a meeting room, and an observation deck overlooking the adjacent 8-lane track.
The facility is a multi-purpose space designed to support school and community use, including athletic conditioning and event viewing.
Traditional Learning Academy
The Traditional Learning Academy (TLA) Seismic Upgrade project involves the renovation and structural upgrading of a 22,300 sq. ft. private school in Coquitlam, BC.
The scope includes foundation enlargement, structural reinforcement, roof replacement, and targeted interior upgrades to bring the facility in line with current seismic and building code requirements.
The project was delivered within an active school environment, requiring careful planning and coordination to maintain safe and continuous operations for students and staff. The work also includes integration of new structural elements within the existing building, alongside architectural upgrades such as new partitions, millwork, and finishes.
Surrey Transit Center - Retrofit
Installation of new elevated maintenance catwalks and replacement of heavy‑duty vehicle hoists within an active transit centre. Scope includes demolition and construction of new service pits, structural steel fabrication, mechanical and electrical integration, safety system upgrades, and commissioning of transit‑fleet maintenance bays.
YVR Link Densification
This project involved the transformation of an existing, fully operational office within an active airport environment into a higher-density workplace to support future staffing needs. The scope included interior demolition, new partitions, upgraded finishes, and mechanical, electrical, and data system enhancements.
Delivered within an active airport environment, the project required detailed phasing, off-peak and nighttime work, and close coordination with YVR Facilities, Airport Operations, consultants, and other contractors to maintain ongoing operations.
