The Prelude is a 41,000-square-foot, seven-storey, concrete development comprised of 52 strata residential and four strata commercial units. Two residential units are free-standing three-bedroom laneway houses.

Green building feature highlights include a green roof, electric car charging, heat recovery ventilation units in suites, T8 fixtures in common areas, and the use of insuite LED light fixtures for high efficiency.

The project incorporated a STORMCEPTOR® System and vegetated roof to capture and treat 90 per cent of all rainwater that falls on site, while removing 80 per cent of suspended solids.

The commercial section of the building is heated and cooled via four air source heat pumps. Green building design and construction elements were incorporated into the building.
