The Duke is a LEED® Gold® rental housing project designed under the City of Vancouver Rental 100 Secured Market Rental Housing Policy.

The 145,000-square-foot, 14-storey concrete high-rise has 201 rental units and ground-floor retail housed in a unique building typology that is new to Vancouver. The residential units centre around a large open atrium from level three to the roof. A large canvas canopy covers the atrium on the roof. The surrounding rooftop space provides an accessible terrace for residents with lounge areas, feature planters, grass areas and a children’s play area. The two sides of the building are connected by small concrete bridges at each floor which include bridges and communal areas with decorative planters and benches.

An eight-storey, 60-foot public art piece is featured at the main entrance to the residence. The building includes a large retail component on the ground level with three levels of underground parking.
